“Mainly because it’s where I grew up. When I have written original songs, they come from experiences, scenes, and characters from my time around town. It’s also been cool to meet people that are not from Richmond and hear about their experiences on songs they love. For example; Playing a Springsteen song and someone from Jersey comes up and tells me a story from when they saw him up there. It builds connections here even though we come from different backgrounds, eras and places.”

“For similar reasons and it’s diverse, and there’s plenty of great live music to go find no matter what you’re looking for. On any given night, you can go find jazz music, country, music, punk, rock, hip-hop, rock ‘n’ roll, etc. there’s something for everyone and whatever mood you are in.”
